2: "Baby on Board"

The Be Sharps
Baby on board
how I've adored
that sign on my car's windowpane
bounce in my step
loaded with pep
'cause I'm drivin' in the carpool lane
call me a square
friend, I don't care
that little yellow sign can't be ignored
I'm tellin' you it's mighty nice
each trip's a trip to paradise
with my baby on board.
The Be Sharps were a short lived (5 and a half weeks) Barbershop Quartet who rocketed to fame in the summer of 1985 with this song "Baby on Board" (composed be Homer Simpson). Their band's success peaked after they won the Grammy for Outstanding Soul, Spoken Word, or Barbershop Album of the Year. The group was made up of Apu Du Beaumarchais (aka Apu Nahasapeemapetilon), Homer Simpson, Seymore Skinner and Barney Gumble. The band original included Cheif Clancy Wiggum, but he was dropped in favour of Barney by their manager Nigel for being 'too Village People'. 9F21 - Homer's Barbershop Quartet
