Anglo-Australian Telescope

The Anglo-Australian Telescope is 3.9m in diameter, but as shown here, is housed in an outsized dome with a 37m diameter sitting on top of a cylindrical structure as tall as a six-storey building. The telescope is on Siding Spring mountain in the Warrumbungle National Park, New South Wales, about 350km north-west of Sydney.
