Towering over the reservoir, the Cruachan horseshoe comprises of a number of peaks including Ben Cruachan (1126m, centre), Stob Diamh (998m) and Beinn a' Bhuiridh (897m). Here part of the horseshoe is seen at sunset from the far side of Loch Awe.
